I am a lifelong resident of Big Water, and a mother to two magnificent, young sons. My love for both my hometown, and the infinite wilderness surrounding it runs deep. I feel a soul-level calling to welcome travelers into this incredible place, to share it with them. I live for the experiences of culture, language, diversity, meaningful conversation... and the Transformation of Strangers into Friends, over a healthy home-cooked meal.

"Ashley was an amazing host to me as I made my way through Big Water en route to beginning the Arizona Trail!
She went waaay above and beyond in her generosity and kindness. I would describe it as "radical hospitality". She cooked me amazing meals, let me hang out and make paper airplanes with her two lovely boys, and gave me a warm bed to sleep in. It doesn't stop there! She went out of her way to invite me to store my car on her property while I hiked the 800-mile trail. She even gave me a ride to the airport in Page.
